Canine Distemper Attack | All About Dogs

Canine Distemper will infect the lymphatic tissue for two to five days. Then, the sixth to ninth day this virus will invade to the blood and spread to the lungs, intestine, and finally the nervous system.


The owners can know whether the dog was infected this virus or not. First, the owners must be wary of the nasal and eye discharge, coughing that develop pneumonia, diarrhea, vomiting, fever that may come and go, seizures, and weight loss. Second, the dog may have poor appetite, foot pads, excessive salivation that infect for 3 or 6 days post infections. Third, this virus can infect young dogs that are susceptible 3 and 6 moths of age. Fourth, Canine Distemper can be indicated from their instinct, or coordination.
